After an exhausting few days between work (mostly work) and football activities I am now coming down with a head cold but fighting like you know what. I have a meeting with a big-wig tomorrow which my boss loosely stated "may change my entire future career if I play my cards correctly, but no pressure its just a quick lunch meeting, but all eyes on you"...GEEZ, no pressure right?!
DW's appt on Tuesday wasn't a scan at all! It was just a consult to discuss next steps-strange, but OK by us, especially DW who didn't have to get violated that day We discussed the FET process, timeline, protocol, price, etc and here's the deal.
DW has 5 early frozen snowbabies and 2 frozen blastocysts - RE said he would prefer to dethaw the 5 and take the best 2 from that batch rather than go with the blasts, stating he may get better quality from some of the 5, but that if not, he would transfer the 2 blasts on day 5 if those were the best option or if for some reason none of the 5 survived the thaw. Protocol is Estrogen pills 3x day for about 10-14 days after the onset of her 2nd period, then start the IM progesterone shots again a few days before FET, make sure lining is thick enough and then dethaw and transfer. We are likely looking at early to mid November for the transfer and the cost is $3k all in including meds.
