Let's REWIND, shall we?

2003-met my best friend and didn't even know it
2004-she moved back to NY
2005-she moved back to NH to be with me - THANK GOD
2005-2007 we both went back to school to finish our undergrad and MBA's
2007-we tied the knot in P-Town on a sunset cruise that never left the dock because the boat broke (but its all good because apparently the Reverend gets seasick and we got a full refund)
2008-decided to look into growing our family (I have a 9 year old from a previous relationship that DW (darling wife) has helped me raise since age 3-this time around we decided she should carry since its an experience you should have if you want it, right?
Late 2008-we visit an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist)they think she is a perfect candidate! Young (30) and healthy - yay for us!

But wait...hold on right there...what's that on the ultrasound monitor....that dark spot...let's wait 3 months and look again because maybe its a cyst and it will clear itself up....um ok?

Not so lucky - it didn't go anywhere and so the diagnosis was handed down like a giant bag of rocks at our heads....Endometriosis....and SURGERY...WTF? Sooooooo, we scheduled the surgery for October 1...DW's mom came up from NY to be there with her meanwhile having no idea that we discovered this nonsense while trying to get pregnant...not an easy sell to the Irish Catholic woman from Long Island...just saying.

Surgery went well, he removed everything except the plumbing required for our mission, so after a few months of healing, we were ready to get pregnant!

January 2009 - 1st IUI-BFN (Big Fat Negative) and DEVASTATED because why wouldn't it work on the first try??? Stupid chics...

February 2009 - 2nd IUI-BFN
March 2009-3rd IUI - BFN
BREAK
June 2009-injectible cycle - cancelled due to overstim on hormones, almost ended up in ER
August 2009-injectible cycle very low dose - BFN
September 2009-injectble cycle -BFN
October 2009- SWITCHED BATTERS and had a consult for myself and tried an ICI at home with me -BFN
November 2009 - ICI at home for me combined with AND an IUI with DW at the clinic - BOTH BFN
December 2009- switched clinics for me and had an IUI - BFN
January 2010-interviewed for a new job in VA and got it!!!
February 2010 - moved my family to the SOUTH
BREAK
May 2010 - IVF Consult for DW
June 2010-got finances pulled together for this RIDICULOUS but hopefully worthwhile investment

And now you are all caught up! Phew - so just to summarize, in many of our attempts above, we tried back-to-back or two days in a row during the fertile window so if you add all that up we have tried THIRTEEN TIMES in TWELVE MONTHS and spent about $15k so far...
