14 weeks and we are READY for BABY

In true lesbian fashion - we are completely ridiculous and overprepared.  We are two women, what did you expect??  Since last week we:

1.  Painted the nursery
2.  Registered for the shower
3.  Chose a crib and its on its way
4.  Announced to Facebook
5.  Ordered an entire wardrobe of Maternity Clothes
6.  Have dates for both the NH and NY showers
7.  Retained an attorney and started the process for our wills
8.  Prepared all paperwork for name change request to court for us

Two weeks until our next appointment, she told her boss at work and I am slowly working my way through the news with those that need to know at work as well.

Her jeans still fit but are getting snug in the butt and thighs and until I took the Week 14 picture, I didn't really think there was much progress in the way of a belly, but Heeeyyyyy, um, yes there totally is!

  1. Wow, you really are lesbians! Of course we will have had our nursery completed for TWO YEARS before our baby is born but that's only because a) we needed a hobby and b) we signed up with an agency that promised most matches were within a month, ha!. And yes that is a definite baby bump!

  2. OMG, you both are super organized! I can barely get myself off the couch once DW puts our kids to bed. Inspires me to plan more, everything looks great, love the color and adore the family pic.

What theme are you going with?

  4. Thanks everyone! I'm not sure on a theme, we are going to wait to find out the sex but one thing we know we want to do is a wall decal of a tree behind the crib. If its a girl, I'm thinking a white trunk with a cherry blossom tree, for a boy, a brown trunk with different color leaves :) Then we have to decided on bedding which will likely guide us toward somewhat of a theme. We want to be careful not to overdue it though -my son's theme was Noah's Ark and it got out of control - boy looked like he was living in a jungle!
