We sat on the couch last night catching up and entertaining the idea of actually, possibly, having a real life baby in 7 months, still cautious, but secretly excited, even for a moment or tow. We talked about friends we miss, our fears, our joy. Then she went upstairs to take her progesterone suppository, as she has every night, for the last 8 weeks, and she came down and mentions there was blood, BLOOD...my heart sunk, and I immediately felt foolish for getting caught up in the excitement.
After we googled it and talked about it, we eventually rationalized it and chalked it up to the fact that it was (had to be) from her internal exam from earlier in the day. She watched it the rest of the night and today and there hasn't been any more blood to speak of, so for now we think we've dodged a bullet.
No nausea all day yesterday, until she hit the pillow. It woke her up out of a dead sleep at 1am last night and she hit the bathroom running, dry heaving and then eventually turning into diarrhea and vomit - this went on from about 2am until the sun came up. I decided to stay home from work with her (she already had the day off) and went to the store this morning for all things stomach calming related. Saltines, gingerale, etc...as of now she is sitting up on the chair/ottoman, still nauseous, but no action coming out of either end, so again, we think she is STABLE, and we agree not to call the doctor unless there is more external fluids of any caliber.
UGH, morning sickness seems so cruel when it strikes you n the dead of the night while you sleep - I sure hope these are all signs of good things to come.
That sounds like the stomach flu to me! Glad there's no more bleeding:) yup, it's a rollercoaster - keep breathing and take it a day at a time!
ReplyDeleteThe blood can be from the second sac, that happened to me and completely freaked me out. Take a breathe and know there is a group of us cheering you both on!
ReplyDeleteHope you guys are feeling better!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks all! She IS feeling better - thank GOD. No more blood, and no more aches or other annoying and inconvenient exits of bodily fluids :)
ReplyDeleteStill nauseous once or twice a day -but thats a good sign!

ReplyDeleteoh sarah, how scary! you guys don't need anything like that to happen! here's hoping it's the last blood you see for 34 weeks!
