Asking a New Yorker to be patient is an oxy moron - the poor thing called me again this morning after another agonizing wait at the lab to get bloodwork, but this time she walked out before being seen and this time, in tears. In her defense, she hasn't had the best luck wth things moving at a pace faster than reverse. First, our RE's earliest appointment time is 9 am, and for those of us who work 8-5, is entirely disruptive of our workday. On top of that, they have yet to take her any sooner than 9:20 and then seem to keep her waiting in the room naked for another 15 minutes. Secondly, the first time (last week) she went to the lab for bloodwork, she waited 35 minutes before she could even check in, and then realized she didn't have our insurance card on her, so I got the panicked text and then proceeded to fax the card to the number, only to find out the number was given to her inaccurately 3 times, UGH. Today she went at 7:30 and waited 45 minutes before walking out, as mentioned, in tears. People in my office have no idea what we are up to but they knew this morning that I was talking someone very important to me off a very steep ledge. The reason for this elevated inpatience? It is her time of the month and she is a raging lunatic - this is a good thing from my amused sideline seat because it's kind of adorable.
Tomorrow we moved her scan to 11:30 (since they apparently close at noon on Wednesdays -also helpful) but this is better because its over the lunch hour - we anticipate getting the green light to start stims tomorrow night.
